Loads of Love Laundry Mission

Loads of Love Laundry Mission is in the Second Year of Serving in Our Community. Providing help by cleaning and drying the laundry of our Neighbors.

1st Anniversary Party
GEM ChildCare

The GEM Childcare @ 13135 is located within our church building and reflects the missional foundation and purpose of our church.

Contact Christina for more info at 315-546-4553.

GEM Childcare is a Before and After-School and Summer program for children ages 5-12.

During the times we were shut down because of COVID, our church director, Judy, delivered packets to families in the Phoenix area to help them with their laundry needs.

Judy prepared a heavy-duty plastic bag with detergents,
rolls of quarters, and more. The amount of money for each
is adjusted for family size.

She also prepared separate bags of activities and candies for each of the family’s children.

She knows all their names. She discusses a wide variety of topics unique to each such as health, work, school, etc.

Judy made it a point to include our church and upcoming Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday, and a planned family program before our service and more. Each bag contained the church schedule.

This church mission costs our congregation about $300 a month in quarters. We have relied on the generosity of our fellow believers to help us in this mission. Over the few years we’ve provided this service, we have received a grant and donations from others in our community.

Thank You for your generosity.

It is by your giving that we keep providing a much needed service to our small community.

On our Gifts & Offerings page, there is an online platform for the Loads of Love Laundry Mission.

If you are able to give, we thank you. If you are not able at this time, prayers for our continuation are always appreciated.

You Can donate below or on our Gifts & Offering page for the Loads of Love Laundry Mission.

At the end of each month, we gather at the Canalview Laundromat on State St. in Phoenix. It is always the Last Monday of the month, from 3-5 PM and 5-7 PM. Pre-signup is preferred to not overcrowd the laundromat and available washers and dryers.

Erin's Angels Mission

Please consider participating in our Fall Food Drive. Print this flyer and collect donations at your work, school, or business. Why soup? The most needed item for our program is shelf-stable, protein-rich food. Canned soup is easy to transport and easy to prepare to make it our number one priority right now.

Donations can be brought to:
Maroun Elementary School
11 Elm Street, Phoenix, NY. 13135

Or click the link to purchase soup through our Amazon wish list and it will ship directly to the food pantry in the school!

ErinsAngels
Erin's Angels Mission to Remove Food Anxiety

Sheila Dion, Founder of Erin's Angels

Erin’s Angels is a mission that started in the Phoenix, NY school system.  Sheila Dion founded Erin’s Angels a nationwide non-profit foundation, after learning of a young girl that died from abuse and starvation.

No child should have to endure such treatment.

No child should have food anxiety.

We help support this mission.

Noreen’s “Manos Felices” mission work is one of several missions we support each year. If you know of a mission we would like to hear more about it. Please contact us.

Homegrown Phoenix Citizen, Founder and Teacher at “Manos Felices” (Happy Hands) a Christian Based School in Equitorial Guinea, Africa.

Noreen Corey, has another mission our children and church support.
Noreen teaches sign language, (in Spanish!) to children at “Manos Felices,” or “Happy Hands,” near the shores of Bata, Equitorial Guinea, Africa. This small country is on the Western side of the Continent on the ocean.
This school was built with Noreen’s idea and the help of the country’s First Lady and donations from those that support Noreen’s journey of bringing a language to those that have none
Many of Noreen’s students lost their hearing when they contracted malaria as babies. She gives these children a voice in their community.
Some of her students, during the ten plus years she’s been there, are now helping teach the younger ones.
Noreen is a special blessing to the country of Equatorial Guinea, and has a heart to do God’s work where she has been called.
If you wish to help Noreen in her mission, and her school for the deaf children in Bata, you can send you check to: The Bill Cook Foundation, 3 Oak Street Geneseo, NY  14454 or you can call 585-703-2665. All monies are sent by Noreen’s retired professor, Dr. Bill Cook, from SUNY Geneseo, directly to Noreen in Africa.

(This is an excerpt from a letter of Noreen’s.)

Dear Family and Friends:

This update comes to you at the end of yet another school year at Manos Felices in Equatorial Guinea, our 11th, if anyone is counting. I know it has been that long, because instead of teaching little ones, I am surrounding by pre-teens and teens! So, that means some days are amazing and other days are like get me out of here! But truthfully, I believe our students are similar to shining stars filled with potential and hope, we are proud of them. The Lord is faithful!
